Elsa Alvarado is a political strategist and communications expert, with senior-level public affairs and legislative experience from the Pentagon, State Department, and the campaign trail. A trailblazer from the outset, Elsa was appointed by President Biden to serve as Director of Strategic Communications for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs at the age of 24, marking her as the youngest director at the Pentagon. Her service was further acknowledged with the Secretary of Defense Award for Outstanding Achievement.

Presently, Elsa serves as Associate Vice President at Precision Strategies, a political consulting and strategic communications firm. Elsa’s previous work experience includes working for the now First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, the former U.S. Ambassador Laura Dogu, and Mayor of NYC Bill de Blasio. Elsa is a proud Schwarzman Scholar, having received her Master's degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. She has also attended Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont and Sciences Po in Paris, France.

As the daughter of Nicaraguan immigrants, Elsa is deeply committed to serving and empowering the Hispanic community. Through her long-term partnerships with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and Hispanic Heritage Foundation, she has made it her mission to support the next generation of Hispanic leaders.
